Tiresome

Thanks for the comments on the video. I’m working on more of them, and ultimately I’m hoping to re-vamp my website a little so that this blog is one element of it, but I also have places for video and other information. So if you come here one day and things look a little different, don’t panic.

I got back in town late last night and woke up to find that at some point in my absence, my front left tire had been stolen from my car. It was cliche-ly up on a block, my tire and rim gone. It was so ridiculous that I never really got mad about it, until I got the call from the tire shop about how much the replacement would cost. But even now I am still a little amused by it, and relieved that nothing else was damaged or taken. In hindsight I should have taken a picture. Darn it.

After being out of town I have a lot of TV to catch up on, of course, and in light of that I would like to re-visit the “What’s on my Tivo” list. Although now it’s not Tivo, is piece of crap DVR given to me by Time Warner. Anyway, here’s what I will watch this weekend:

Survivor Gabon
The Office
30 Rock
Grey’s Anatomy
Private Practice
What Not to Wear
Californication
Iron Chef America
Infomania
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
…and of course, America’s Funniest Videos

I also watch Weeds and Entourage through On Demand. I’ve been a little less enthusiastic about them recently though, as I feel they’ve gone downhill. Oh, and I have season 2 of Mad Men on itunes.

I’m looking forward to the new season of Top Chef, which I think may start next week.

Finally, speaking of TV as I often am, I am going to the final taping of According to Jim tonight and the wrap party afterwards. I hope it will be schmoozetacular.

That's insane about the tire & rim! It's amazing how bold some people are, even if it was done in the middle of the night. I understand people are now stealing manhole covers in some cities and selling them at scrapmetal places. Maybe that's the kind of place your rim went.

I watch Iron Chef America when the ads show a decent episode coming up. NYT food writer and founder/leader of seriouseats.com is an occasional judge on the show. And of course, Funniest Videos is better post-Saget.

According To Jim is ending?? I really never saw it as much as I'd have liked. Kinda sad, that.

I’m sure you invite such trouble by having those showy 20-inch spinners on your car!

Just curious: when you saw your car up on blocks, did the song “Low rider” pop into your mind?

Is there anything special about your car’s rims? Most of them are specific to the model of car. Get some locking or keyed lugnuts (one on each wheel) to slow them down. If it is too much trouble they will look for an easier target. Too bad you cant get 4 “Denver Boots” to keep on all 4 wheels while you are gone :)
I really enjoy your Sonic commercials

Entourage is the best! Its so hard to only watch 30 minutes then wait a week to see more!
